Arborist Masterton was founded on a straightforward belief: trees deserve proper care, and property owners deserve honest advice about looking after them. Based in Masterton, we focus on practical arborist services and carefully planned tree removal throughout the Wairarapa.
Arborist Masterton was started by Daniel Thompson, who grew up with a strong appreciation for the outdoors and the rural landscapes of the Wellington region. After spending years working in outdoor property maintenance, Daniel became increasingly interested in the way trees affect homes, gardens and the surrounding environment. He saw that many property owners struggled to find straightforward answers when a tree became damaged, overgrown or difficult to manage. That experience inspired him to build a business focused on practical tree care and clear communication.
Daniel established Arborist Masterton to serve Masterton and the wider Wairarapa, an area he values for its established gardens, rural properties and distinctive landscapes. He believes arboriculture should be approached thoughtfully, with every tree considered in its own setting. From an established tree in a Greytown garden to a large tree on a Carterton lifestyle property, the right approach begins with understanding the individual circumstances.
The business has grown around Daniel's commitment to doing things carefully and treating customers fairly. Today, Arborist Masterton aims to provide dependable service, sensible recommendations and a straightforward experience for property owners who need help with their trees.
We focus on Tree Removal and Arborist. Each service has its own page so you can see exactly what is involved before you call.
We are based around Masterton and serve Wellington, including Masterton, Greytown, and Carterton.
Tree work can involve significant risks, so we believe every job should begin with proper consideration of hazards, site conditions and the people nearby.
We explain what we find and discuss practical options. We do not believe every tree concern automatically requires removal.
Trees contribute to local landscapes and provide important environmental benefits. We aim to support responsible tree management and avoid unnecessary work.
We listen to your concerns, communicate clearly and treat your property with care throughout the agreed work.
